I tried this with and without lavender bitters and definitely preferred with - seems to tie everything together nicely.
Tried this on the rocks - it’s good, but definitely needs to be iced or very well chilled, otherwise it would be too sweet.
Liked this, but would be inclined to miss out the sugar syrup - feels like it would be sweet enough with just the passion fruit syrup.

A good Negroni for summer. The hazelnut liqueur adds richness rather than sweetness.
I’ve just made this with Calvados instead of cognac (because I don’t have any cognac at the moment, but I do have a lot of freshly picked blackberries) - apple and blackberry is a classic combination and I’d definitely recommend it here, although it doesn’t fit as well with the name!
Any thoughts on whether this would work with Reposado tequila rather than Anejo?
