I buy Monin Marshmallow Syrup. Much easier, and I suspect better, than trying to make yourself.
Have you ever tried this with roasted marshmallow flavored vodka?
I tried this at some point in the past year and remembered liking it. Tried again tonight with Jameson and Pierre Ferrand and Taylor dry sherry I happened to have on hand. Lovely orange notes. I’m not a lover of whisk(e)y, but this is a great cocktail!
I was not prepared for how much I liked this! Though obviously not as deeply herbaceous as The Last Word, neither do any of the ingredients cost $60+/bottle! The cherry and elderflower play nicely with the lemon.
I had Tanqueray Sevilla Orange and Cinzano Extra Dry and used the given proportions. It is quite orangey, but I like it! I’ll try it again when I get some unflavored London Dry gin. (I usually only have American style gin, but have been enjoying my Negronis with the Sevilla Orange and perfect martinis with Tanqueray's Rangspur Lime. Both are nice diversions.)
Quite a pleasant libation! I"m a fan of all things tiki, but this one is less spirit-forward, while still being a strong drink. It's going just under the Mai Tai in my list of favorites.
