A popular dessert around the world and a traditional British dish served hot or cold, sometimes with whipped cream, custard or ice cream. This sugar syrup replicates the pie's flavour of crispy baked apple, caramel and biscuit taste with a touch of butter and cinnamon.

Monin describe this apple pie flavoured sugar syrup as tasting "just like a true apple pie in a bottle, yet convenient and ready to pour." "Ingredients: Sugar, water, concentrated apple, green apple and other fruit juice, flavouring, colouring agent: caramel E150a."

Sampled on 12/06/2013

Appearance:

Cloudy, coppery amber.

Aroma:

Does indeed smell of apple pie with pastry, baked apples and cinnamon.

Taste:

Monin have done an incredibly good job of mimicking the flavour of apple pie with notes of cooked apple, crumbly pastry and subtle cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Lingering cooking apples and pastry.
