(sample bottle vintage 2018) Clear, deep crimson red.
Piney juniper, blackcurrant, black tea and cracked black pepper.
Sweet red berries and blueberry jam, dry piny juniper and tea-like tannins, black pepper spice and angelica root nutty woodiness. Hints of menthol cough sweet.
Warming berry and spiced juniper finish.
The Australian answer to sloe gin – this Shiraz grape steeped gin is slightly sweet with rich jammy berry flavours, but these are balanced by pine needle freshness, tannins and enlivening black pepper spice.
