1/2 fl oz Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
1 fl oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)

Prepare

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.

Method

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

I would have to agree with the comments so far in that this was fairly one dimensional to start. After a couple of sips, I did add a couple of dashes of Angostura bitters, and it opened it up more.

The name is apt — I’d describe this as a floral version of the classic B&B. I added a dash of orange bitters and a tiny dash of Angostura, and it helped “focus” the flavors in my opinion.
