I have been making a version of this lately as follows:

1 oz bourbon
1 oz rye
3/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz orgeat
1/2 oz simple syrup
1 egg white

I find it really balanced, and I've been drinking this a lot lately - made 2 waiting for the 30 minute delay for new members to post here ;)

Wonderful blending of flavours and perfect for summer. Sweetness in perfect and the lemon adds a refreshing touch.

I don't understand the assertion that the Orgeat makes this "Daisy-like" (and I'd rate it a point higher on the Boozy scale) but "a whisky sour with a touch of almond" sums it up well. A nice drink (if you like whisky, which I do).

Thanks. I've upped to 7 on boozy scale. Daisy def. = A loose term suggesting a spirit-based drink with liqueur or flavoured syrup, often served over crushed ice. Daisies always contain lemon or lime juice.
