Ingredients:
1 oz Absolut Mango Vodka
1 oz Chinola Mango Liqueur
1 oz Strucchi Bianco Vermouth
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of skewered dried mango strip.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with skewered mango strip.

Adapted from a 1990s recipe which comprised 60ml (2oz) citrus vodka and 50ml (12⁄3oz) mango purée.

Disappointing drink. It needs sweetness, unless the mango purée is super ripe/premade and store bought with sugar added. Without question, it is lacking in something.

It's an old photo so I suspect a combination of lighting and post-processing. Some of our images date back to pre-digital when we used to shoot on medium format. We are on a mission to update all but a lot to work through.

If, like me, you don’t happen to have mango purée hanging around and decide to whizz up an over ripe mango (surely one of your 5 a day) then these proportions are quite heady.

Either whack a bit of sugar syrup in or do what I did and reign in the citrus vodka to 60 ml (equal parts purée and vodka) and then this is a marriage made in heaven
