Adapted from a recipe created in 2008 by Brian Miller at Death & Company in Manhattan, New York City. Named after the 1959 thriller produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason. In the film, Cary Grant's character Roger Thornhill says, "Now you listen to me, I'm an advertising man, not a red herring. I've got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders that depend upon me, and I don't intend to disappoint them all by getting myself 'slightly' killed."

As lovers of absinthe, it is excellent. It enhanced the flavours of the gin. Very spirit forward and you MUST like absinthe to appreciate the balance of the cocktail. Would definitely make it again.
Need to check again with a less sweet sparkling, or back off the sugar syrup, because this was pretty nice.
