A French 75 made more interesting by a splash of absinthe.
Adapted from a recipe created in 2008 by Brian Miller at Death & Company in Manhattan, New York City. Named after the 1959 thriller produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint, and James Mason. In the film, Cary Grant's character Roger Thornhill says, "Now you listen to me, I'm an advertising man, not a red herring. I've got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders that depend upon me, and I don't intend to disappoint them all by getting myself "slightly" killed."
