Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Ketel One Citroen Vodka
12 oz Joseph Cartron Double Crème de Cassis de Bourgogne
1 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of red apple fan.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Review:

This blackcurrant fruity cocktail has a citrus zing courtesy of the citrus vodka base and the addition of fresh lime juice, the sourness of which adds balance.

History:

Created in September 2011 by Jack Webber for the British Brown's Bar & Restaurant chain, it’s since become a favourite on the Brown’s menu where it’s listed under ‘Browns Signature Cocktails’.

I made this with plain vodka since that’s all I have at home right now. Worked pretty well that way. I will make it again with lemon vodka when available. I might have to up my rating from 4. Or not.
