Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 23 oz Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Hazelnut Syrup
2 drop Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lime wedge.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with lime wedge.

Review:

There are two distinctively different types of hazelnut syrup available, the "roasted" version being more intensely flavoured than plain hazelnut syrup. If you use light, charcoal-filtered carta blanca-style rum, I suggest you use plain hazelnut syrup. However, this cocktail is perhaps better with a more flavoursome 'gold' rum and roasted hazelnut syrup.
