Ingredients:
1 12 oz Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.)
56 oz Strucchi Rosso Vermouth
14 oz Monin Banana Syrup
2 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
13 oz Chilled water
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of dried banana chip.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with dried banana chip pegged to rim.

Well balanced cocktail with nice spice flavors.
Made with homemade banana peel syrup which is subtle and not too banana-y.
To Make Banana Peel Syrup:
In a bowl, combine the 1/2 cup diced banana peel (peel from 1 large banana) and 1/2 cup cane sugar. Cover and allow to sit overnight at room temperature. The sugar will extract water from the peel, which will dissolve the sugar, eventually forming a syrup. Strain.
