Beautifully balanced cocktail; you taste the sweet & the sour quite separately in the same sip. Very good.

Highly recommended to make it with the Gin Mare - it's just brilliant in here.

I think with a splash of amaretto to really get that almond flavor would make for an interesting change to this classic.

I've added a "variation" with amaretto above. Thanks for encouraging me to revisit this classic, the process of experimenting also led me to reduce the orgeat in the main recipe above to 10ml (1/3oz).

First time I made this cocktail I did not really like it. Today and with a very good Orgeat I must say it is delicious and very good balance. I would try to get ripe and not too sour lemons.

A really nice drink. I like it with 3/8 Orgeat, a barspoon of Absinthe (maybe 1/4?) and an extra dash of Angostura.

Very nice. Well balanced, but found it a bit light in flavour. Overall a good drink, but thinking of another flavour ingredient that could be added.

Balance is critical here and this version is spot on
