In some ways it's an Old Fashioned riff and should be treated as such, albeit with Genever so it's going to lean towards the dry, aperitif-y way rather than the bourbon OF which is very much a night cap. Make sure to use a good genever, it'll make or break this drink!

Vaguely Martini-ish. So we misted with sweet olive - Osmanthus fragrans, the flowers of which we infuse in green tea.

But maybe that would make it a Water-Liu.

Delicious. The combination of ingredients makes for a bitter and mildly sweet aperitif. Hints of mandarin, herbal, and mint. Also feel there is a spicy and peppery aftertaste. On my favourites. Well done. Thank you.

Simon, this sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, I don't have Jagermeister but I do have Amaro Averna and Amaro Montenegro. Do you feel I could use either of those instead?

I used Fernet Branca, as I am not a fan of Jagermeister, and it was delicious.

The Averna will be your best bet. Could be delicious.
