Take a Rob Roy and switch some of the sweet vermouth for rich flavoursome PX sherry, add a dash or three of orange bitters and you've a William Wallace...
I used Johnnie Walker Black, Dolin Rouge, & Lustau San Emilio PX Sherry. Somehow I feel like the Sherry was dominating, even though it was only 10 ml? This might require a "bolder" blended Scotch? I'm curious what anyone who gave this 4+ stars used...
A nice variant on the Rob Roy (or Bobby Burns, depending on your perspective). It is good, but I don't think the sweet vermouth and the PX sherry blend that well - so not great, but good, and worth a try.
An excellent way to end St. Andrew's Day celebration. The Scotch Whisky is perfectly matched with the other ingredients. Slightly sweet and perfect for a nightcap or evening sipper. The quality of your Scotch Whisky will dramatically impact the final cocktail.
