This works so well with a fuller flavored rum. The lime and sweetness complement the scent and flavor and of the rum, which still is prominent.

Today I tried the version with powdered sugar and daiquiri bitters. Personally I prefer syrup and would half the bitters.

5 star plus for a reason. Especially with Havana Club 3. The evolution starts with tartness, then goes on to a balanced sweetness before the slight esters of the rum round off the drink. A true delight.

Off the charts. Being a big rum drinker this was fabulous. We did add 2 drops of Dufford's Daiquiri Bitters. Perfect. Liked it as it has a stronger rum flavour than the regular daiquiri made with light rum. Simple ingredients and high on taste.

Thanks, John. Good call! I've added Daiquiri Bitters to the recipe above.

I replace the sugar syrup with Cointreau for a more complex flavour (plus I don’t have to keep sugar syrup on hand)

I like a daiquiri. I made one yesterday after a classic negroni, because campari... is not my friend ahah
