Very nice cocktail. My blood oranges might have been on the "sweet" side so it was ever so slightly sweet. May try adding the orange bitters next time.
I make a version of this with San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa
(Blood Orange) when Blood Oranges aren't available and, its my fave summer cocktail, including all my friends that have tried it.
Wow. We had a couple of blood oranges that we needed to eat. The cool search capability of this app (thanks Simon) turned up this cocktail. What a find. Backed off the gin a little to 1.25, Campari.5, vermouth.5 and OJ 1.25.
Highly enjoyable boozy aperitivo, a fun alternative to a negroni. As others have said the quality of the outcome is highly dependent on the quality of the oranges.
