I think my overall issue with Aviations and their variations is that I just don't like maraschino liqueur. Similar to pineapple juice, I feel it overpowers any drink it's used in.
I agree, this drink needs some oomph
This was good, but not great. I found the overall flavors to be rather muddled together.
I'm a huge fan of Manhattans, and I also love cognac cocktails. This is the best of both worlds. I think it would be difficult to order this at a bar, though.
