I am enjoying this so much. The orange and lemon oils bring this up several notches. This is going into my personal Bar Book.

I think my overall issue with Aviations and their variations is that I just don't like maraschino liqueur. Similar to pineapple juice, I feel it overpowers any drink it's used in.

I'm a huge fan of Manhattans, and I also love cognac cocktails. This is the best of both worlds. I think it would be difficult to order this at a bar, though.

I have both Rothman & Winter Crème de Violette and Crème Yvette in my bar, so I made this twice, one with each. As much as I love R&W, it does not do this drink justice. The unanimous vote at the bar tonight is for Crème Yvette.

This didn't quite do it for me. I made it exactly per the recipe, except I was inexplicably out of Bombay London Dry (normally a staple in my bar), so I subbed Hendrick's. I found this drink to be rather bland.

Fabulous. I really like this one, despite an initial reservation about tinkering with my Manhattan. I find that upping the ingredients to 60/10/20/20 gives me the correct size drink for my glasses.
