It's very dry and very fresh and it's good but I find it uncanny. It's not quite a sour and definitely not a martini. I remade it at sour proportions (an extra mint leaf, and 2/0.75/0.5 gin/lime/simple) and I much prefer that, but that could be my tastes.
Good cocktail but needs a little practice to nail the precise ratio of muddled cucumber and mint. Probably better with a less juniper-forward gin, something with cucumber, floral, or citrus notes.
I used Cotswold Gin. There an initial mint and cucumber savouriness but this was later overpowered by the dryness of the gin. In the end I added 20ml of apple juice which partially improved matters. Interesting enough to try again with a more floral or citrusy gin.
Good cocktail, very refreshing. It has something of a Dirty Martini crossed with a Daiquiri. I used really thin cucumber slices which was enough. For a coupe glass it is not enough fluid, for a Nick & Nora it would be close or you have to lift the amounts.
I really feel that this cocktail is great, but something is wrong with cucumber in my case. Either i shouldn't use cucumber in late October, or i add it to much. But flavour was like i accidentally drop pickle in a good cocktail.
But definitely i'll try to play with proportions in the future
This is a really refreshing cocktail, the cucumber comes through really well. I added a sugar rim to mine because I fancied it a little sweeter but I think it would be well balanced without it too.
