Boiled up some leftover fresh cranberries from the Christmas festivities...managed to eeak out enough juice for 2 of these delicious cocktails! It was a very Christmassy red colour and I garnished it with rose gold powder and a pea shoot. 🎄🎄🎄
It is the 01 October, but had to try. It was also perfect for the Autumn. As we are big Jamaican rum drinkers, we used Jamaican to get a little of the rum funk. It was wonderful. Will definitely have again at Christmas, but there is no need to wait for the Holidays to enjoy this wonderful cocktail.
I am in a country where even orange bitters are impossible to get, let alone these Daiquiri bitters. There is a website which ostensibly sells them, but laws of the country state that no alcoholic product can be purchased unless through an approved liquor store. Keeping that in mind, how severely would the cocktail be affected if I omit these bitters? How does this work for other recipes with such bitters?
Sounds like you need to emigrate. The https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/ stocks and if they ship to your country, all should be legal re duty, etc. Otherwise, I'd give this a try without. The quality of your falernum will have a more significant impact.
This will surely be our Christmas tipple this year! We used Atlantico Reserva as our gold rum and Cocktail Kingdom's falernum bitters. Just a delicious mix of flavours. A real 5 star drink.
The Bobs bitters aren't to be found anywhere in the Netherlands and there's no website that ships to here at the moment. Is there any other good bitter I could replace it with? Or if I use Diplomatico Planas instead of Havana, can I also leave it out?
