Sometimes called a Gaelic Coffee and properly known by its Irish name 'Caife Gaelach', the Irish Coffee is traditionally served in a stemmed heatproof...
Made with Jameson Black Label and à touch of maple syrup in the whipped cream. Grated nutmeg on top. I made myself a double (2 Oz of whiskey and 4 of coffee) and that turned out to be a good call as my wife drank half of it.
The 'variants' section in this cocktail seems to yield so many drinks not on the website. Is there any way to sort/find pages which have a 'variant' section to them, as not all pages seem to have such a section? I tried searching with the key term 'variant' in the Cocktail Finder, to no avail. Same with searching within Google and specifying your site. Sorry if this is such a hassle.
I've added a few other variations above and also added links to all those on this site. The way to use our Cocktail Finder to discover such cocktails is to pick on the common ingredient, i.e. coffee, and to search under each type of coffee in "By Fridge/pantry". Hope helpful.

Is there a way to search the database by cocktails that are warm? I mean physically warm or hot, by temperature, e.g. an Irish Coffee or Hot Toddy. Obviously, I know those, but others? Perhaps there could be a tag in the back end for cocktails that use warm ingredients, like hot coffee, or hot tea, etc. Not all warm drinks might necessarily have those words in their titles so title search doesn't really help. Thanks.
also some notes:
1) i used rather dark roasted beans and that seemed to be a good decision - coffee was not overhelmed by whiskey
2) i mostly love my coffee black, so i do not have anything special for whipping cream, but a regular kitchen whisk worked just fine
3) vietnamese phin coffee maker is just so convinient for this case because it easily lets you brew just enough coffee (80ml in my case) - they are rather cheap and can be found online.
Made exactly using this proportions and it was great with Bushmils!
So glad that finally i found something really tasty w/ both booze and coffee (except for using irish cream liquers like bailey's which always rock your coffee)
