Used a 8 year old rum, used different Orgeat to 20 ML to counter balance acidity and older rum, as stated a bit sour for my taste and unbalanced. This recipe hits way better then a Pina colada ! Orgeat + Giffard pineapple = WAY MORE COMPLEX AND BETTER then any pina colada or pain killer. Warning a bit sweet at 20ml for yu dryer drinkers out there.

Great cocktail. Just the correct amount of sweetness and fruit flavors to be a daiquiri, but light and subtle in its taste.

I went with amaretto instead of pineapple liqueur, and with pineapple syrup instead of orgeat as I didn't have on hand the ingredients and hoped it would work. It was lacking balance, quite boozy and sugary. Will have to try the original recipe one day

A little unbalanced for my taste. Added a small amount of rich syrup ( 1/6 oz / 5 ml) and was a bit more balanced. Pineapple and almond upfront with a nice citrus finish.

This is lovely and you can make a fresher tasting version by substituting 10ml pineapple juice and 5ml ovenproof rum for the pineapple liqueur

We love Sally's charming reference to 'ovenproof' rum. Digital overreach is the 'snake in the glass', of course.
