For someone who isn’t a big rum drinker I thought this was very nice. Delicate and herbal with some lovely rounded characters from the Pierre Ferrand. Perfectly balanced.

Nicely balanced and especially flavorful as it warmed up.

Not much going on. A lot of vermouth with a surprisingly-bold overtone of orange, cut on the top with a mildly-medicinal (rum-)spiritous accent. I used my trusty Bacardi Carta Blanca and I would recommend exploring other brands of white rum with this. Don't write it off just yet.

I’m really liking plantation 3 star as my standard white rum.

Made with Probitas white. This might be the first drink I've made where the added water really makes it shine, IMO.

Made twice. With Havana Club 3 year old and then with The Duppy Share. To me the latter gave a more balanced depth to the drink.
