Good in concept but quite sweet for my tastes. I'd suggest starting with half the triple sec, or sub some of it for a dry curacao or Nonino.
I had only a standard cognac and used Paranubes rum to replace the woodsy/spicy notes...gorgeous drink!!
Amazing drink for the simplicity of the spec!
I made it without water/wet ice and it was perfect for my palate, so keep that in mind. Otherwise this drink is fantasic.
I find Aperol to be too sweet. If you replace it with Nonino it really improves the drink.
I toned down the sweetness by using 3/4 Oz. Cherry heering instead of 1. Felt more in balance
I tried it both ways and prefer it Stirred, FYI.
Is this different enough from the Carthusian Nail? Maybe they should be combined into one entry.
Went with Aperol instead of Campari, but this drink still needs served on the rocks.
Made with Probitas white. This might be the first drink I've made where the added water really makes it shine, IMO.
This drink shouldn't work, but it somehow does. Perhaps I'd call this drink a "diet zombie".
I prefer a lemon twist in this one, but that's a strictly personal choice.
I assume we are to muddle the basil in the mixing glass? Weird, but I can dig it.
I added a half teaspoon of cinnamon syrup to this spec and personally find it substantially improved! Try it if you have it!
I found the rosewater overpowering. My second attempt reduced the rosewater by 2/3, making it far less cloying.
yeah 1/2 oz. of rosewater would burn the eyebrows off of even the floralest palette
To egg white or not to egg white?
