1 12 oz Bacardi 8 year old rum
12 oz Armagnac brandy
12 oz Lustau San Emilio Pedro Ximénez Sherry
13 oz Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
2 dash Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)

How to make:

SPRAY glass with absinthe. STIR rest of ingredients with ice and strain into chilled absinthe coated glass.

History:

The Danish Bacardi Legacy 2019 winning cocktail. Created by Nicklas Jørgensen, who said, "When creating my cocktail, I wanted to recreate the feeling of when I first tried Bacardí Reserva Ocho, with its sherry finish. My drink is named after my daughter, honouring the Bacardi ethos of excellence, passion, trust and caring which I hope to pass on to her."

I had only a standard cognac and used Paranubes rum to replace the woodsy/spicy notes...gorgeous drink!!

This is a flavorful, interesting drink. The absinthe might be at its threshold - it definitely looms large over the overall taste, but I wouldn't go over the measure. In fact, I'd recommend maybe doing a spray (one) rather than a measured amount... It's a pity I don't have citrus on hand at the moment, because a spritz of lemon oil might take this over the top... Getting rid of an old (chilled) bottle of PX, so that's why I tried this. But I'd make it again, oh yes. (28 Sep 2022, 5:30a)
