Recommend trying this one with a 2:1 ginger syrup, I had some I needed to use up and it melded very well with the bourbon, pineapple and lemon juice, didn't have pimento bitters so I gave it a hefty 2 dashes of regular angostura. Buffalo Trace was the bourbon.

I preferred Two shots of bourbon and use ogeat instead of sugar syrup. Tikiness with bourbon warmth.

Had this again with a California Bourbon which added a slight spicy (savoury; not hot) touch to the after taste. Left out the syrup to make the final cocktail dryer. Wonderful. Getting elevated up to my favourite cocktails.

Got to try this as it's the COTD on my birthday, it looks like it's right up my alley!

A really delicious tiki drink, I especially like the bourbon backbone. Pineapple works very well with the bourbon and lemon. I used allspice dram in place of the pimento bitters (not available locally, and $20/5 oz on Amazon) - I didn't really make much of an impact (maybe the bitters are worth it?)

Macerated a chunk of pineapple in the shaker for extra fruit, used half lemon/half lime juice and orgeat instead of syrup. No DeGroff bitters but I do have homemade, unsweetened pimento dram so used a tsp of that instead. Did somebody say Tiki?!

This is a sumptuous sour! Made it with orgeat and half lemon, half lime. Too bad we’re on the cusp of winter right now.

Lush, a much better version of the Hunk IMHO!!

I used orgeat syrup instead of sugar as recommended, upped the lime juice to 25 ml and the pineapple juice to 30 ml.
Great drink, quite dangerous too, as it goes down super easy.

Nice cocktail! Although the photo used looks like a pineapple daiquiri on the rocks?

Hi Jason, happy to hear you like the cocktail! And thanks for letting us know about the duplicate images. It looks like the one on this page is correct (although its an old shot), and the Pineapple Daiquiri On The Rocks needs an urgent reshoot - it's now on the list!

Oh wow. Tried this two times, the second with orgeat and sugar syrup (just a barspoon). Utterly delicious with just enough sweet and sour.

Used Rittenhouse and it was delicious. We decided to add some Amaretto as one reviewer suggested (minus the simple) and it tastes like a Whiskey Mai Tai. Definitely a keeper!

I upped the tiki-ness of the drink by using orgeat instead of plain sugar syrup. Delicious!

Good call. I've added this in the variation above.

This was lovely. Added 0.5oz amaretto and swapped the syrup for honey.

This is delicious. Somewhat a tiki drink, but not sweet. The use of Bourbon is perfect. Happy Birthday, Hawai'i - the only state with the Union Jack on its flag.

+ 0,15 CL Amaretto
+ 1 CL pineapple juice
+ 0,5 Bourbon

I‘d totally try this but I do not at all understand the measurements here… 0,15 cl is such a tiny amount, and what is 0,5 Bourbon..?

Have tried both variations and this one definitely wins out for me - a lot more personality
