The Amalfi Sour was inspired by another modern classic cocktail -- the Trinidad Sour. While a Trinidad Sour puts aromatic bitters at the center, I wanted...
At 90ml, we thought that this might sit more comfortably in a Coupe glass. We're still trying to decide which, of a Coupe or Nick and Nora glass, shows off the drink's wonderful colour to best effect. And it's absolutely delicious.
Summer in a glass (well, coupe)! It's got a luscious, almost neon orange color--the very shade of Bain de Soleil's sunning gellee. Pallini by far is a favorite limoncello, got a softness to it. Aperol vs. Campari in a Negroni? Aperol is less aggressive. (PS, make it with Hendrix too...) Angostura bitters are lovely, flowery, pink... Altogether a yummy cocktail! It's light and not too boozy, but for drinking it under the sun, turn it into a highball with ice and selzer.
