A Gin Salad is made like a regular Dry Martini but with three olives and two cocktail onions as garnish. They should be pushed onto the stick in the following...
Just make every martini a salad martini, coward. I would but then I'd probably stop eating anything else and expire from some 18th century pirate disease. God I love pickles.
Tried again, but substituted grapefruit bitters for the orange bitters. A bit dryer cocktail and a hint of freshness. Love this drink it is so versatile.
You have to try it instead of with olives and onion, with what in Spain we call banderillas, which has an olive stuffed with pepper, an onion, a pickle and chilli. You can add a shot of the brine to the mix.
Loved this. The dry martini with its hint of orange bitters. The colder the better. Garnish is an extra. I count this cocktail as a serving of vegetables.
True. I say get creative with the garnish, much like a Bloody Mary. Personally I like adding some radish pieces onto the pick when I have them. The red-green-white looks nice. Will have to give those homemade cocktail onions a go too.
