Excellent cocktail! I had only Havana Club Especial available, sorrily this rum is too light to balance the honey.

To my taste the 15ml of 3/1 honey syrup was a bit too much, too sweet… perhaps the honey I used was too fragrant. Otherwise, absolutely amazing! I used Diplomático Reserva Exclusiva and the character of the rum really came through

Maybe the problem is with the rum, considering that the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is quite sweet.

Oh wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Just splendid. Using Appleton Estate Reserve Blend, I'm tasting just hints of the funk making it so balanced. The rich honey and the lime are already a match made in heaven. Delightful. Absolutely deserving the 5 stars.

Used half slightly overproof Caribbean blend rum and half 8 year Jamaican rum. The extra hit of proof and Jamaican funk tamed down the sweetness. Was wonderful.

Perfectly balanced, it is great with Bacardi 8, and probably great with other rums if you experiment a bit. 5 stars for me!

Bacardi 8, 3:1 honey... I'm immediately leaning more toward a Appleton Estate 12 or something a touch more dark. Balance is nice though.
