The absinthe (La Muse Verte) completely drowned out the flavour of the ginger beer (Ginger Joe.) Not sure if the Absinthe was too anise-heavy, the ginger beer too weak or if the cocktail's just supposed to be like this...

I really enjoyed this. I'd consider a touch less sugar syrup next time but that may well be down to the ginger beer I used (Fentimans).

This combination works really good. Make sure the ginger part is strong enough, then the absinthe integrates perfectly.

I really liked this!
The lime, ginger and anise flavours sit really well together. Summery, but worked well on a Sunday evening in January.
Top tip - have a sip of ginger beer, then a sip of absinthe, then another sip of ginger beer. Your mouth will be abuzz with flavours.

A cool way to use absinthe in a cocktail but doesn't really come together
