Too sweet for me, and the vodka doesn't add anything except alcohol, of course. Thought I would enjoy it with the Galiano and absinthe, but not for me.

I found this to be overly sweet and syrupy, even with meletti amaro, which I don't find very sweet. Didn't really come together, though I'm enjoying trying out grappa based cocktails.

first time with this cocktail and most of these flavors. the lemon and honey definitely shine through the most, reminds me of a hot toddy. Scotch doesn't show up much. ginger shows up but im not sure i'd be able to tell if i didn't make it myself.

reminds me of cough drops, lemon candy. i dont really like it, cuz i dont like acidic drinks, but this might be good for someone who does.

The is a very big difference between the Domain de Canton and the suggested Barrows intense ginger. I gave away my Canton after I tried the Barrows as it was much too sweet for me.

Its fascinating how 3/4oz of Fernet quietly disappears in this cocktail. I enjoyed it, but am mostly fascinated by how this combination works.

I'm not a big Fernet Branca fan, but this was magical. The sweetness and flavors of the Yellow Chartreuse tamed the fernet and complimented it at the same time

Had anyone else tried Golden Moon kummel, made in the US? They're isn't much kummel flavor on the cocktail so I'm wondering if my kummel is weaker treating than the traditional ones.

This is so good. I cut back on the Islay because I wasn't feeling like an overly smoky drink, and it still worked really well with just wisps of smoke making their way through. I used Monkey Shoulder and Domaine de Canton. This would be wonderful coming home from a brisk winter walk.

There is a big difference between Domaine de Canton and Barrows Intense Ginger as an FYI. I gave away my Canton I was so disappointed in its mildness and sweetness, but the Barrows lives up to is name...

Cold and refreshing, but even with a little muddling the mint really didn’t come through. Maybe it’s just the mint from the yard. Drop the mint and sugar syrup and use tonic water, though, and it could be a real classic cocktail!

I would suggest it is your mint or it wasn't shaken vigorously enough. The shaking breaks up the mint and releases the mint oils.
This comes together better than the rum based mojito, very impressed!

I have one of the most complete home bars I know of and I can make maybe two of these. I know a lot of your readers are Pros, but even the most complete cocktail bars in my area couldn't make most of these on request. I don't doubt they are amazing, but... whats the point?

Wow, an unexpectedly great combination. Right to my favorite list. I made my own pineapple juice and froze it in 1 1/2 oz portions for future use.
