I think this has to be sipped in the proper setting. A dingy dive bar allowing fumar? I made mine with Punt e Mes, which I thought I'd like best, and I was luckily rewarded.

This was delicious! I was expecting it to be more bitter but the fernet was beautifully balanced. The hint of menthol was really refreshing.

as a fan of all kinds of Fernet and a kinda fan of sweet vermouth, I think this very simple drink combines the best of both worlds. It mellows the overly simple and sweet taste of red vermouth, while not being overly medicinal from Fernet. Also, very simple to make, which is always a good thing.
