Found this absolutely delicious (5+), although we used Fee Bros Grapefruit Bitters, and so 4 dashes rather than drops, so perhaps we ended up with a more citrus-forward recipe? We also used smoked salt. Just found this a wonderfully complex and harmonious drink. (Our tequila is Don Fulano, and made it without the agave syrup suggestion.)

Almost has a gentian flavor, not my favorite. Needs sweetening up a bit.

Excellent aperitif option for Mexican appetisers that is not a margarita. Bitterness works with the tequila to provide a very nice sipping cocktail.

Didn't have the reposado so I substituted two thirds blanco and one third mezcal. And half a spoon agave syrup...excellent!
