Tried this with Cocchi instead of Strucci but found it bit sweet, second try I dialled back to 20ml cocchi and was a lot more balanced for my tastes. Really like the amaro in this 👌

That was right out of the gate when they opened in 2008 (I had it in October 2008) as their one calling card drink as they didn't have a menu. It might have been the inspiration for the bar's 1919 Cocktail that got a bit more traction appearing on menus across town (rye split with Old Monk Rum, double the Punt e Mes & Benedictine, and addition of mole bitters).
Made a 1919 last night after reading this comment 🤌 great cocktail
This was great, would recommend 👍 first cocktail I’ve made with fresh monkey and it certainly is quite unique
This week I try some 5 star + and this is another great cocktail! I served it in a Nick and Nora which fitted very well. Personally I would reduce the agave syrup, but my guest were perfectly fine.
Yeh agree, going to drop the agave syrup to 7.5 ml next time but otherwise really enjoyed this 🤌
Just made this for the first time, used all the listed brands of ingredients except subbed Appleton 8yr instead of Havana Club 7yr. I have to agree with other comments, the banana was extremely subtle at 20ml Banane Du Bresil which I found surprising. As others mentioned, upping to 30ml was an improvement and made the drink shine.
