Lacking the volume and flavor of a cream, it's reminiscent of a creamsicle.
Tastes like a fruit punch without the overpowering flavor of tequila.
I was originally introduced to the French Martini as a vodka based drink, but using cognac as the base spirit is a notable level up binding the cocktail's flavors together.
I'm not a huge fan for cognac but I nonetheless appreciate the layers of flavor in this drink and will be adding it to my home bar's regular rotation of cocktails.
I accidentally made this with 1/2 shot Maraschino, but I was pleased with the result. All other ingredients kept the same, it gave a nice balance to the lime.
I concur, the drink is better with the extra bit of Maraschino.
I liked this a lot better when I put in some mezcal. Instead of 2.5 ounces of tequila, I used 1.5 ounces tequila and .75 ounces of reposado Xicaru mezcal. This is something I will be putting into my regular rotation of drinks.
The flavor profile is not reminiscent of an oatmeal cookie but it's not bad. I'll have it again.
It's a sweet after dinner drink.
It's okay, though I appreciate the cream subduing the "bite" of the tequila.
