Lemon juice, Aromatic bitters, Peach flavored whiskey , Sugar syrup 1:1
I would have to disagree with the dryness rating. Mine was more in the middle or even slightly sweet.
Subbed lime juice instead of lemon and its a winner!!!
I submitted chocolate bourbon and cherry liquor and added 3 dashes if simple syrup and 7 dashes of ango bitters. The drink is fantastic!
Reduce the bourbon to 1.5 oz and add 1-2 dashes of simple syrup. You’re gonna love it!!!
German amaro, Lemon juice, Root beer, Vodka
Not very good. Too bitter. My suggestion half the campari, no bitters. Add 1/8 oz of simple syrup.
A light and delicious spring cocktail for tequila drinkers. It leaves you’re mouth fairly clean and wanting another right away. It’s subtly sweet but fresh tasting.
Try it!
A great autumnal beverage. Bourbon and elderflower are crisp and clean then the pairing with the tart apple juice and lime cordial bring it over the top good.
Try it!
Reposado tequila, Elderflower liqueur, Lime juice, Mediterranean tonic
If you want a lighter version, one not so fruity and thick, use a Fresca grapefruit soda or similar…in the states we have Pilar brand carbonated grapefruit/ lemon mixes that are perfect for this drink.
Enjoy
Bourbon whiskey, Elderflower liqueur, Lime cordial, Apple juice
Cognac (brandy), Blue curaçao liqueur, Lemon juice, Sugar syrup (2:1)
I had no Amaro so I subbed Galliano and omitted Orgreat. Still very sweet!
Next time Ill try adding a shot of tequila.
Add 1.5 oz of Resposado tequilla and its called a Gold El Camino.
Trust me! Do it! You’ll love it even more...maybe better.
Thanks for this addition Simon. Im glad I can contribute to the diffords guide.
Mixing good drinks helps set the tone and atmosphere for many of our soirées and get togethers. As we say in South Carolina... Enjoy it y’all.
I added a 1/3 oz dark creme de cocoa for a mocha martini.
I added a shot of resposada tequila and call my version “Golden El Comino”.
It’s awesome!!!
I added 1 shot of milk poured over the mix into a highball glass and called
My version a frosted black diamond.
Delicious!!!
Omit the simple syrup. I used 1/4 sour mix and 1/4 margarita mix instead of lime and lemon juice. A terrific summer sipper for Southern afternoons in South Carolina.
