Review

Packing six different spirits, this Texas Tea is basically a Long Island Iced Tea with bourbon, and packs a suitably large Texan punch, especially if made with 6 x 15ml (½oz) measures of spirit as per the original recipe. If so choose a large (14oz) Collins to accommodate sufficient cola to achieve the desired dilution.

Cocktail of the day:

2nd March 2026 is Texan Independence Day

Bloody hell. How is this drink so smooth and easy to down? Whether it's the proportions or the bourbon (Makers Mark I used), it takes away even more of that edge from a regular Iced Tea. Super smooth drink

Omit the simple syrup. I used 1/4 sour mix and 1/4 margarita mix instead of lime and lemon juice. A terrific summer sipper for Southern afternoons in South Carolina.
