Even with cheap bourbon and cognac this is great, it lifts everything up.

I have a slight cold at the moment, and this is just what I needed - plenty of strong flavours, all of which punch through individually without overwhelming the drink.

Ran out of olives, so I thought I'd see if this is a thing, and it is! Great if you love pickles.

Probably the ideal ratio of gin to vermouth, 3 olives on a cocktail stick gives a lot of extra flavour without it really becoming dirty.
