Even with cheap bourbon and cognac this is great, it lifts everything up.

I have a slight cold at the moment, and this is just what I needed - plenty of strong flavours, all of which punch through individually without overwhelming the drink.
Ran out of olives, so I thought I'd see if this is a thing, and it is! Great if you love pickles.
Probably the ideal ratio of gin to vermouth, 3 olives on a cocktail stick gives a lot of extra flavour without it really becoming dirty.
White Russians, and White Cubans are perfect for when you want to feel decadent without too much effort! One fun variation is one part each vodka, white rum, Kahlua and amaretto, with your preferred amount of cream, I usually use 2-3 parts. The almond flavour adds another enjoyable note.
One of the greatest simple cocktails out there, and it's easy to vary with different rums, demerara syrup, bitters and other additions without spoiling it. The classic one can elevate a cheap rum or highlight an expensive one.
Great cocktail even made with cheap white rum as I have no Havana Club 3 or Plantation 3 at the moment. Probably needs less sugar if you're using pink or red grapefruit.
This is a lovely variant on an Old Fashioned, and a great way to enjoy a bourbon. Made according to the recipe but may well add a cherry next time.
Made this with Wray and Nephew, it's a wonderful drink with a mix of amazing flavours, the overpowering funk of the rum and the bitterness of the Campari blend with each other into something amazing. Highly recommended as a way to get all the best flavours from the rum.
