23 oz Torabhaig Peated Single Malt Whisky
13 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
13 oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
2 dash Angostura Aromatic Bitters
2 dash Cherry bitters

How to make:

STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into frozen glass (no ice in glass).

History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2017 by Kola Adejumo, a bartender from Eindhoven, Netherlands, for the first Glassology competition which he went to win.

The name was inspired by Memento, an American thriller film based on the 2001 short story "Memento Mori" by Jonathan Nolan. Guy Pearce stars as Leonard Shelby, a man who suffers from anterograde amnesia (short-term memory loss and the inability to form new memories) who juggles searching for his wife's murderer and keeping his short-term memory loss from being an obstacle.

The recipe looked good but it just didn’t work for me. Diluted Islay flavours, overwhelmed Scotch, excessive cherry flavour. Likely my choice of whiskys.
