Serve in a Collins glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Absolut Vanilia Vodka
12 oz Giffard Crème de Mûre liqueur
13 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
2 12 oz Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare seasonal berries for garnish.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with seasonal berries.

History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2002 by Jake Burger at Townhouse, Leeds, England. Laika was a Russian dog and the first canine in space.

This was actually a recipe to use up a bramble gin liquor I got given so less syrup like than creme de mure therefore increased to 30ml. As others said no syrup & I reduced apple juice to 40ml & added a few raspberries into shaker & garnish. So quite a few changes but the vanilla bramble apple combo works beautifully. Enjoy!

Okay, after a few of these, I've decided to to not use any simple syrup as the drink is sweet enough already without it.

I'm using Copella cloudy apple juice and maybe it's already sweeter hence my decision. Great drink, but I think the extra sweetness is a muchness. All the same amounts otherwise

Agreed. Depending on the apple juice, I'd dial back the sugar syrup to 5ml or zero.

Woof! What a great and refreshing drink. Fruity and with the vanilla flavour lingering. Can't taste the apple, but it adds a Robinsons cordial style body. Great stuff
