The combination of lime juice, grapefruit juice and maraschino liqueur is a match made in heaven and (for me) does not benefit from the sugar syrup!! As per my preference for the IBA recipe for the Hemingway Daiquiri (No Sugar syrup), and after trying the above proportions (and also 50/15/15/15), I went 50 rum, 15 maraschino and lime juice, 30ml ruby red grapefruit juice. A (preferred) cocktail for when the grapefruit is red, not pink but keep your sugar syrup for the Black Daiquiri

Very interesting drink, in a good way. At first it does seem a little sweet (we did our normal of not using quite as much sugar syrup); however, the grapefruit and lime juice does negate the sweetness right after tasting. Very good.

I like it! I added a foaming agent and it turned out very nice.
