Ingredients:
2 oz Caribbean blended rum aged 6-10 years
12 oz White crème de cacao liqueur
12 oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
34 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
6 drop Bob's Grapefruit Bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of dehydrated banana chip.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice).
  5. Garnish with dehydrated banana chip.

History:

Adapted from a recipe created in 2023 by Itzel Gracian at The Manor Bar, Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel in Montecito, California, USA. Cocktails on the hotel's bar menu are inspired by novels authored by women featuring female protagonists, and this one is named after Ann Howard Creel's The Whiskey Sea, which tells the story of Frieda being swept up by the illegal rum-running business and the handsome Ivy Leaguer.

Upped the cacao and banana (both Giffard) to 3/4oz ea. Appleton 8. Bittercube Jamaican No 2 Bitters. Very good.
