Ingredients:
2 oz Caribbean blended rum aged 6-10 years
1 oz Heering Cherry Liqueur
10 drop Tiki bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange zest twist.
  3. STIR all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

This great cocktail is dramatically influenced by the style of rum used. Francesco's original recipe calls for English Harbour rum.

I used El Dorado 8 and Mariquinhas cherry liqueur, Bittermens tiki as well. It's interesting I suppose, but heavily dependent on rum brand for dynamic impact. Worth a try though. (23 Mar 2024, 1:17p)

Hilarious. Just came back to this, not realizing I'd reviewed it so recently... Mariquinhas, no good. Still trying to find a suitable use for it. Maybe as a maraschino sub??... Anyway, Rhum Barbancourt 8 and Luxardo Sangue Morlacco was pretty damn good together. (9 Jun 2024, 9:43p)
