Ingredients:
2 oz Patrón Silver blanco tequila
3 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed) chilled
14 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
3 drop Saline solution 4:1 (20g sea salt to 80g water)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of pink grapefruit slice wheel.
  3. POUR all ingredients into chilled glass.
  4. Briefly STIR.
  5. FILL glass with ice.
  6. Garnish with grapefruit slice wheel.

Jesús Azpeitia Morales, better known as El Chato, has been making this, the signature cocktail at his Bar El Chato in Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico since 1960.

like a paloma but simpler. quite sweet - i feel soda helped.
