Ingredients:
2 oz Absolut Vanilia Vodka
12 oz Strucchi Dry Vermouth
12 oz Pink grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Vanilla Syrup
2 dash Bob's Grapefruit Bitters
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare pink grapefruit zest for garnish.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Express pink grapefruit zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Created by yours truly and named after Velvet Maker, the filly who won the 15:05 at the wonderfully named Fairyhouse racecourse in Ireland on 31st January 2015 - the day I first made this drink.

This is lovely- perfectly balanced. You can add a drop of good quality vanilla essence to gomme if you don’t have vanilla syrup
