23 oz Absinthe vermouth
13 oz Poire William eau-de-vie
16 oz Giffard Banane du Brésil liqueur
3 dash Orange Bitters by Angostura

How to make:

STIR all ingredients with ice and strain into ice-filled glass (or in place of ice use cold over frozen river stones to chill to avoid dilution from ice).

History:

Created in 2015 by Thomas Egerton at Eau de Vie, England. The literal English translation of this drinks name, 'the spirit of the staircase', doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

I'm not a fan of the absinthe vermouth. I wouldn't buy a bottle just to make this cocktail.

The absinthe is very overpowering. I’d probably switch the amounts of the banana and absinthe.

Just checking you used "absinthe vermouth" rather than absinthe?
