Serve in a Collins glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Blended Scotch whisky
23 oz Rioja (Crianza) red wine
12 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup)
3 oz Thomas Henry Soda Water
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Collins glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of orange wedge.
  3. SHAKE first 4 ingredients with ice.
  4. STRAIN into ice-filled glass.
  5. TOP with soda.

Review:

The red wine blends particularly harmoniously when made with a sherry-influenced scotch whisky. Whatever you're Scotch, the traditional Spanish Sangria is tame in comparison.

Adapted from a recipe promoted by Chivas Regal (ours has more Scotch), this cocktail was originally made with Chivas Extra 13 Sherry Cask Finish.
