Santiago’s inspiration: “I am here to tell you about the greatest discovery ever made: FUEGO.
As primitive as passion itself; the one that in 1862 made Don Facundo Bacardi Masó follow his heart and his fiery will.
BACARDÍ rum is a story of fire, earthquakes, prohibition and exceedance. In 1880, the darkest era of our rum, Emilio Bacardi knew how to rise like a phoenix from the ashes, more brilliant and perfect than before.
Rum is warmth, it is the Caribbean, and it is love. Who hasn’t played with fire? We all must unleash our inner flame at least once; for the fear of burning up must not outweigh the fear of extinguishment.
Today, I want to leave you my fire.”
