Overproof rum sits well with anything fruity, in this case, with a zing of zesty grapefruit. Bring on the sun, sand and the sounds.

Ving – Grapefruit soda and citrus-flavoured vodka.

History:

Ting is a carbonated soft drink flavoured with grapefruit juice (from concentrate) and, in Jamaica, it is often mixed with Wray & Nephew overproof rum to make a Ting Wray or a Ting 'n' Sting. It is also mixed with citrus-flavoured vodka to create a Ving. As they'd say on the BBC, "other brands of grapefruit soda and overproof rum are available."

A waste of W&N, at least when using Schweppes grapefruit soda.

I've always heard this called Wray and Ting in the tiki/rum community. (though Ting Wray is pretty cute)

I like the ratios here - 3:1 works great. Fantasic way to taste the unique Wray and Nephew flavor notes while toning down the boozy heat. Exellent!

A perfect blend of rum and grapefruit. Strong and refreshing citrus. Unique flavour.
