Glass:

Serve in a Collins glass

Ingredients:
1 14 oz Bourbon whiskey
1 oz Galliano Espresso Coffee liqueur
1 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
1 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
34 oz Monin Almond (Orgeat) Syrup
3 drop Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or merest pinch of s

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COLLINS GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of long lemon and orange zest plaited strings, mint sprigs and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

How to make:

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into glass filled with crushed ice.

  1. Garnish with plaited lemon and orange zest strings, mint sprigs bouquet and maraschino cherry.

History:

Adapted from a recipe from the 1963 private papers of Joe Scialom, a bartender celebrated for his Caribbean cocktails and featured in Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's 2014 Potions of the Caribbean, from where this recipe is sourced. Joe created this cocktail while managing the L'Ellisse Supper Club of the Cavalieri Hilton in Rome, Italy.
