This is another one of those stirred cocktails I really feel like should be served on a big rock. It's great with enough dilution, but the mezcal is going to be really overpowering until you suddenly get to that point which obviously can vary from person to person.

Wow pretty intense and true to the spirit of Mexican flavours. Rich, floral, delicate, smokey, spiced. I added a very light dusting of chili powder in place of chili oil. Superbly well balanced.

I went 1/2 mezcal 1/2 tequila, as I am not fond of straight mezcal drinks. Even so, didn’t care for this one. To each his own.

It's an amaro based on vermouth wine rather than a neutral spirit.

I made it with Tequila as my wife doesn't like Mezcal, worked pretty well
